The comparator circuit box performs real-time comparison of optical signals against a user-defined threshold and generates TTL outputs accordingly. It also offers direct TTL 1 and 0 outputs for controlling common lab instruments.

It is well-suited for Real-Time Precision Opto-Control (RPOC) applications, including biomolecular control, cell sorting, and integration with other modalities for real-time decision-making.

  • Use independently or in combination

  • Digital logic functions (AND, OR, NOT) available

  • Manual tuning or digital/analog input of voltage threshold

  • Fast response timeMultiple parallel output

How to add RPOC to your laser scanning microscopy systems with the comparator circuit?

Adding RPOC functionality to your microscope is straightforward. All you need is a comparator circuit and, optionally, RPOC control software.

Additionally, you can select from a variety of laser sources to serve as action lasers. The comparator circuit is typically used in conjunction with an acousto-optic modulator (AOM) to deflect the action laser, or it can directly control the laser itself.
